During my internship at NBCUniversal Korea, I had the exciting opportunity to work on a branding project for a themed pop-up store promoting Despicable Me 4 and the introduction of the BTS Minions. The project centered around a limited-time pancake house experience designed to delight fans of both the Minions franchise and BTS, bringing together two major cultural icons.
As part of the creative team, I contributed to the development of the brand identity for the pop-up, including designing logos and various promotional materials that would be used in the physical space. This role allowed me to engage in real-world branding work—from brainstorming initial concepts and visual language to seeing the identity applied across merchandise, signage, and event collateral. The final design shown here is the concept I created during my time at NBCUniversal. It reflects the playful energy of the Minions while also infusing elements of the pancake house theme. To build upon the work I completed during the internship, I imagined an extension of the project in the form of a conceptual pop-up pancake truck event. This design showcases what I would have envisioned the pop-up could become: a whimsical, approachable, and immersive moment that blends food, and fun.
